Gmail Unlimited

Not sure when this started, but it seems like Google is giving everybody almost unlimited space on their Gmail accounts. If you visit the Gmail main page (you need to be logged out of Gmail.), you'll see that the web space counter is steadily increasing. It started out at 2GB and it is a little over 2.2GB right now. I wonder if it'll ever stop!

    On a serious note, I love the tactic from a business strategy perspective. “Oh, you guys increase your capacity too. Fine, we’ll just increase ours infintely.” Google does a very good job of countering the counter attacks of it’s competitors. It’s as if they have it planned, and just wait until the competitor moves.

    Haha.. I didn’t know it was old news! I usually never see the gmail home page cause I have it go to my inbox right away. I knew they increased the space to 2GB, but I didn’t know it kept on increasing!
    They do do a good job in their counter “attacks”, but they do it in a very subtle way, which I like. More power to Google! :-)
